Dr. Andrea Netten

Director of IEA Amsterdam, International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement (IEA)

Dr. Andrea Netten is the Director of IEA Amsterdam since 2017. She ensures that IEA Amsterdam’s international responsibilities and study objectives are achieved and maintains relationships and communication with IEA partners. Before starting her work at IEA, she was the PIRLS National Research Coordinator for the Netherlands for more than 10 years. Her main research focus was the role of sociocultural and linguistic diversity in reading literacy achievement. Currently she is a series editor for a teacher focused book series of IEA: IEA Research for Educators.
